About Us
Since 1971, Compass CEO Mac Bell has dedicated his entire career to Gloucester’s revitalization, rehabilitation, and growth.

Mac is the former owner of The Glass Sailboat, one of Gloucester’s first green grocer and clothing stores, and was a founding member of the team that developed The Mill Condominiums and Pathways for Children. Mac Bell has amassed substantial development expertise and a deep network of multi-disciplinary contacts throughout the city.

A vital seaport steeped in historic and cultural heritage, and inspiration from Winslow Homer to Fitz Henry Lane, Gloucester is a city of riches. From neighboring art deco structures, where Clarence Birdseye invented frozen food, to the colorful annual St. Peter’s Fiesta, the City of Gloucester awaits.

Compass Property Management offers new, relocating, and expanding businesses numerous opportunities to prosper on Gloucester’s working waterfront. Our sites include a securely-anchored shopping plaza adjacent to the harbor, police and courthouse buildings, and access to the Main Street business district; a 20,000 square foot office building with panoramic ocean views, and numerous residential properties, all supported by our local and experienced management team.

Just 35 minutes North of Boston, we are strategically located for immediate access to Route 128, CATA (local bus transit) and nearby MBTA commuter rail.
